ITINERARY
Day 1: 2 days Kayak Serrano River
Early in the morning, your kayak guide will pick you up from your hotel and arrange transportation to Torres del Paine National Park. Upon arrival at the Serrano River area, your personal gear and kayaks will be assigned. An instructive talk will be given on safety and how to paddle a sea kayak.
We begin paddling the first stretch of the Serrano River, which is ideal for familiarizing yourself with your designated equipment and techniques. After approximately 45 minutes, we arrive at Salto Serrano (a geological depression that produces strong rapids), requiring us to carry our kayaks for approximately 100 meters.
Depending on weather conditions and the group's physical condition, we continue downriver for approximately 10 minutes. 4 hours.
During the cruise, we will appreciate the Southern Ice Field, the Paine Massif, and Mount Balmaceda, as well as the local birdlife and the typical Magellanic Andean forest.
We will arrive at Mount Balmaceda Lodge, where a warm room with a view of the Serrano Glacier will be waiting for us.
Day 2: Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we will prepare to enter the open waters of the Ultima Esperanza Fjord. We will sail for approximately 30 minutes to Puerto Toro, considered the entrance to Bernardo O'Higgins National Park and home to the Serrano Glacier.
We are now close to experiencing the experience of paddling among icebergs and getting as close to the vertical wall of the Serrano Glacier as possible, as far as safety permits. After this impressive kayaking experience, we return to camp to transfer the kayaks and equipment to the cutter "21 de Mayo" and sail through the Ultima Esperanza Fjord toward Puerto Natales.
During this voyage, we can observe the Balmaceda Glacier, which plunges from the summit of Mount Balmaceda into the sea.
Halfway through the fjord, we stop for lunch at "Estancia Perales," a Patagonian lamb barbecue. We then continue sailing through the Ultima Esperanza Fjord, arriving in Puerto Natales at approximately 5:00 PM.

Note
Please keep in mind that sea kayaking is entirely weather-dependent. The guide will assess the current conditions before each leg of the trip and may shorten, suspend, or cancel the trip altogether. In the event of cancellation, the guide will evaluate alternative activities such as trekking, horseback riding, or sport fishing, depending on the group's geographic location.
In the event of program modifications, such as shortening, suspension, or cancellation, there will be no refunds or reimbursements.
The group uses double tents; if you request a single tent, it will have an additional cost.
Each group member will receive a dry bag for their belongings. You will also receive a dry bag for cameras or similar.
The water supply comes from the rivers and lakes in the areas visited. In this area of Patagonia, the water is completely pure and safe to drink. For those who wish, the guide provides a filter and chlorine tablets to purify the water.
Climate and Temperature
Patagonia is famous for its unstable weather and strong winds. Even in summer, it can be very cool and rainy, so we must bring the necessary clothing and equipment.
